PTO sponsored Spring Fling Raffle & Book Fair, March 20

We’ve set the date for Montclair’s on-site spring function. Mark your calendars and plan on coming to school the night of March 20. This year we’ll be raffling off fun prizes, teacher time, activities and gift baskets galore! Also returning, the Scholastic Book Fair! Look for an informational newsletter with event and raffle details, coming home in your student’s backpack near the end of February.

The 2015 Off-site Auction, April 25

A big THANK YOU! to Robert and Ali Van Camp for heading and planning our Auction this year. There are some seriously FUN plans for this annual event—it is not to be missed! This year it will be at the Multnomah Arts Center, April 25, from 6:00-11:00pm.

Money raised at the annual Auction helps build the bulk of the PTO funds for the following year. Our PTO budget helps fill gaps that the school district budget doesn’t or infrequently covers. Ipads, PE and library materials, office supplies and teaching materials are all the obvious purchases, but did you know that the projector light bulbs and printer cartridges are covered as well? Teacher funds, field trip scholarships, after-school clubs and field trip transportation are included in our budget, as is the fish tank maintenance and the 5th grade water cooler in the portables.

Our auction is an event aimed at raising money to provide these necessities for the students and staff at Montclair. We hope you will consider attending the event and contributing in any way possible to make Montclair a success.

Auction Help Needed!

The annual Montclair Auction will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 6:00pm–11:00pm.  Once again this will be an adults only evening of fun to help support our great school. As always, it takes many hands to help make the event a success. We are asking anyone, and everyone, who can help to attend the first Auction Committee meeting.  Please come to the Old Market Pub on Thursday, February 12 at 7:00pm. You will get a sneak peak of this years fantastic Portland theme and first pick of many important positions that need to be filled to make this, our biggest fundraising event of the year, a smashing success.

Volunteer Opportunity | March 4 | BSD Clothes Closet

The Beaverton School District Clothes Closet is a volunteer service organization that provides clothing for children in need in our district. Each school in the district is responsible for providing volunteers to the Clothes Closet one day per school year. The volunteers will assist families in finding clothing or help in the sorting room. Our date this year is Wednesday, March 4. Contact Ali or log on to Help Counter to sign up for a shift.

Next PTO meeting: Thursday, February 26 | 7pm | See you there!
