May 2015 Newsletter
Morning With Moms And Those Who Love Me | Thursday, May 7 • 7:00-8:00am
Celebrate Mother’s Day early with your student while enjoying a morning treat! And to any of those Dads who missed Donuts For Dads earlier this year, you’re welcome to join in! Suggested $1 donation per person.
Thank YOU to Robert & Ali Van Camp, and all the volunteers who helped make the auction a success! We gathered at the Multnomah Art Center for a little Portland Weird and to raise money for our sweet little school. Those in attendance enjoyed hoola-hoopers, contortionists, delicious food from Koi Fusion and many, many items up for auction!
To all our Montclair families that donated and bid, THANK YOU! for all the generous support for our school. Together we raised $26,000 to contribute to the 2015-2016 PTO budget. If you’d still like to make a contribution, the office will always take cash or check and deliver it to the Treasurer!
Did you miss your chance at the auction to sign yourself or your kids up for a Sensational Sign-Up? Bunco is SOLD OUT, but there are still some spots left! For the Kids: Almost All Night Party (May 29) and Kids Summer Dance Party (June 20) For the Adults: Barre to Bar (May 29), Dads Poker Party (June 13) Murder in Margarita-Land (June 6) We Survived Summer Party (August 29). Descriptions and sign up sheets are in the office...see Karen to sign up and pay. Questions? Email us.
Step-By-Step we are making our way through this SCHOOL-WIDE art project. A shout out to our Art Lit team for providing the many volunteer hours to make this possible. Our school garden will be a treasured example of your dedicated hours!

Teacher Appreciation Lunches
Teacher Appreciation lunches have started! It’s a time where each grade is assigned a date, and parents from that grade provide lunch for the teachers and staff. It’s a wonderful way to show them how much they are appreciated! The 5th grade kicked-off the Appreciation Lunch with a Mexican theme. The following dates are the luncheon host dates for the remaining grades.
Wednesday, April 29 • 5th Grade Tuesday, May 26 • 1st Grade
